Writing in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 2013, music critic Uli Olshausen described Dell as the most virtuoso vibraphonist of the European Jazz History. The Reclam Jazzlexikon hails Dell as one of Europe's leading vibraphonists.
