  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

My favorite performance memories come from performances when I meet a next-level or legendary musician for the first time on stage. It happens more often than you think, and there's this moment of hyperfocus where your head and your hands just flow without resistance.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

I'm really inspired by other instrumentalists. Especially keyboard players. It's also really fun to try and create something on our instrument that replicates other non-traditional sounds.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

The Freestyle sticks are really a unique design that allow me to merge into any situation that comes up. If I'm on a softer gig, I can get really good articulation with them at low volumes, but they also let me easily open up to fatter sounds if I want to lay in and lay back on the stick.
